EDUCATION PROGRAMS
It is the real belief that, education is the key for everything in the world and it can be said that education is the weapon to fight against injustice and inequality. Hence, we believe that education is the basic thing and is the basic weapon to fight against social abnormalities and also for the social development. We are running a variety of programs in the field of education so that besides children we extended our panorama to people of different stages of life.
BALWADIS/CRECHES/CHILD DAY CARE PROGRAMS
Early childhood care and nutrition are being provided under the scheme of Balwadis Crèches and Child Day Care programs. Elementary education along with nutrition supplement is given to the children within the age group of 0-6 years, to ensure their proper psychomotor development and social adjustment. In order to make the bright future of child, training for mothers is also being given to the needy. Our Balwadi Centers are running at Ghazipur Village, Parparganj & Mandawali successfully for the benefit of children from poor background. Two crèches at Pandav Nagar in West Delhi are running with the support of Delhi Social Welfare Board and a Day Care Centre running at Noida for 0-6 Years children of daily wages workers. This program is supported by DLF Construction Company. The organization is contemplating to extend these programs to other areas if needed, as these programs are found successful. One day care center run at Kodarma District in Jharkhand for child labour.
COMPUTER COURSE FOR LOW-INCOME GROUP
AIPSS provides to have better computer knowledge for low-income group of different regions. Our computer training centers are being run in Shadi Khampur (New Delhi), Jhumari Tilaya (Jharkhand), Haridwar (Utharanchal) and Natata village in Jaipur District (Rajasthan). Three months basic/typing/accounting courses are being run in these centers for low-income group people/children from different clusters of the region. Trained instructors are appointed to train beneficiaries of the computer courses. As per the last year analysis of the organization this training is helping the youth to become employed.
WOMEN WELFARE PROGRAMS
As women welfare is one major vision of the organization, ALL INDIA PARIVARTAN SEWA SAMITI running a variety of programs for the overall development of women of rural areas.
GENDER RESOURCE CENTER
Even if the concept of gender resource centre is not a very new, now it is a developed concept and in the form of maturity with effective application in society. A Gender Resource Center is run by AIPSS at Patel Nagar area supported by Women & Child Development Department.
· Vocational training:- V.T Courses such as dress designing, beauty culture, cutting, & tailoring and embroidery are conducted in the center.
· Health Programmes:- GRC organizes health programs and provides health services through weekly health clinic and through Monthly Health Camp.
· Legal counseling :- Under GRC we provide legal counseling to Women through our Expert and Advocate. · Non-formal education :- Through this NFE programme our SHGs Member including School drop out girls and 0-6 years children get benefited.
· Information Desk :- Information cum-facilitation center are provided information regarding all scheme launch by Government Department including providing forms and process about that.
· Nutrition camps :- Nutrition camps on monthly basis in Catchments area. Our Experts give information regarding healthy foods for Women & Child.
· Provide Certificate :- Jan Shikshan Sansthan Certificate is provided to the beneficiaries of the vocational courses. It is the plan of the organization, to extend the program after approval by the department in the next year also.
KISHORI SHAKTI YOJANA [KSY]
Kishori Shakti Yojana organized in ICDS, Inderpuri, South-West District, New Delhi. The program was to give better training and awareness on various issues related to adult girls. Beneficiaries of the program were the adult girls from the region.During the year the organization provided training programmes such as Home Utility & Legal Awareness, Health Awareness to 60 adolescent girls and issued certificates base on their training.
STREE SHAKTI CAMP
AIPSS organizes Stree Shakti Camps once in a month, for women empowerment. Stree Shakti Camp is meant for creating general awareness on various issues related to women, and to empower them to increase standard of their livelihood. Health camps are arranged as part of Stree Shakti Camps, free medical check up and free medicine is provided in these camps. Doctors from different streams are made available in these camps. Stree Shakti Camps are held on the last Sunday of every month. These camps provide awareness on nutrition, HIV/AIDS and other health problems. A team of 7 doctors of different specialties is made available in medical service section of Stree Shakti Camps. Paramedical services are also provided as part of the medical camp to have all the necessary facilities such as laboratory etc. at a place at a time. General awareness on legal issues, various governmental schemes for women welfare and empowerment are given as part of Stree Shakti Camps. For this special sections are made available in the Stree Shakti Camp so that women could get general awareness on various issues and their rights. Stree Shakti Camps are arranged in such a way that the participants could get all information and aid in all necessary streams. Cluster based awareness programs and medical check up are provided under this program. The objectives of Stree Shakti programs can be summarized as to bring greater convergence of women welfare programs and activities of Govt./other agencies like financial institutions, banks, hospitals, legal services authorities etc.
AWARENESS GENERATION PROGRAMME [AGP]
Awareness Generation Programs for pregnant women and lactating mothers were provided periodically. Through these programs, various issues during the period of pregnancy such as postpartum blues, nutritional problems etc. are discussed and create awareness on the same. An awareness program on “the importance of breast feeding and supplementary nutrition’’ was conducted in ICDS, Anand Parvat, West Delhi area.
COMMUNITY HEALTH
Community health and community medicine are the concept of modern era. It is after the discovery that the base of diseases of both physiological and mental, is from the community. So community based health promotion concept has been taken place. The organization has vast experience in promoting community health through its intensive work on Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS and other diseases. These programs are well recognized within government and NGOs. It was main purpose of the organization to prevent HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis etc through an effective community awareness programmes such as community based integrated MRCH clinics, home visits, health mela, group discussions, group awaremess generations. which aims to provide. The major objectives of community health programs are, to promote community based primary health care, to increase knowledge and awareness of the causes of different types of illness and the means by which infectious diseases can be transmitted, and to improve mother and child health care and reduce infant mortality, child malnutrition and other deficiencies.
HIV/AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGNS
To prevent HIV/AIDS and to promote AIDS awareness campaigns have been organized in clusters of East and West Delhi, with the contribution and support of DSACS. Through the volunteers of AIPSS, the organization could provide awareness on causes, precautions, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. Condoms for safe sex could be distributed, among the illiterate low income group people of different regions have been made aware of the precautions to be taken for good health and about causes and prevention of HIV/AIDS.
RCH
RCH programs have been implemented in eight villages of Delhi and Rajasthan branches. The program aims at increased awareness among eligible couples, communities on basic factors of the RCH elements. The program covered 1495 women and 967 children during the year, and referrals were made to appropriate hospitals/health centers. The program included baseline survey, awareness meetings, camps trainings etc.
INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION [IEC]
Basically IEC is health related program with effective means of educating the public on many health related issues. Different kinds of awareness programs such as street plays, puppet shows and programs with the use of audio-visual aids have been arranged as part of IEC program. For the better awareness among the community the organization itself developed different IEC material materials. The IEC programs are conducted according to the needs of individual region, which is assessed by different measures such as field surveys; request from the region etc. In this working year, it could cover 17965 individuals under the health education program.
DISTRIBUTION OF FREE MEDICINE
As part of free medical camps, we have arranged for free medicine distribution. Since the establishment of the organization, it has arranged for survey, check up and distribution of free medicine to sufferers from various diseases. In this year, 4499 persons have been beneficiated under this program.
HANDICRAFT
MARKETING AND CRAFT BAZAR
AIPSS organized a craft bazaar namely ‘DHAROHAR’ at Sinha library Ground, Patna supported by the DC (H) Govt. of India. It was conducted from 16th to 25th, December 2006. Live demonstrations have been
given by 11(eleven) master craft persons; and a total of 153 craft persons from all over India participated and put their stalls. All of the participants received overwhelming response from the public. Wide publicity given through newspaper banners pamphlets, posters, flex banners pasted on autos, cable TV, invitation cards, could make the program more successful. Clubs and apartments were especially targeted for giving publicity. Around 20 VIP persons visited the craft bazaar and gave greetings and encouragement. Near about 98000 people of and surrounding area visited the craft bazaar. All of the VIP persons and the public who visited the craft bazaar noted their suggestions and remarks in the register and highly recommended to organize the program again in the next year, and which could give encouragement to do the same. Various cultural and traditional programs were organized as part of the craft bazaar and were meant to attract the public to the bazaar. The renowned cultural groups of Patna and the group of organization attracted the public by their graceful performance.
SPECIAL HANDICRAFT TRAINING PROGRAM
A 15 days Design & Technical program was organized by AIPSS for hand embroidery craft at GAZIPUR (East Delhi) supported by DC (H) Govt. of India. In this project, our target group (especially women artisans) has improved their knowledge and technical efficiency.
SOFT TOYS MAKING TRAINING CENTER
With the support of DC (H) Govt. of India, AIPSS started a Soft Toys Making Training Center, from 1st January 2007 for six months. In this project our targeted group (especially women) is getting training and experience in making different types of toys. It is a unique project for our organization in the field of handicraft and handwork. We have also arranged facilities for marketing the products.
HANDICRAFT CREATION AND BAMBOO TRAINING CENTER
One Handicraft Creation Training Center is being run by our organization, with the aim to bring self-reliance among tribes of the Jharkhand region and to promote handicraft. Its role is to train the poor in making useful items by using bamboo strips.
BABA SAHEB AMBEDKAR HASTSHILP VIKAS YOJAN [A.H.V.Y.]
A cluster development program was started in this year which was under ‘Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana, supported by the DC (H) Govt. of India. It was started at Patel Nagar, New Delhi. Under the scheme SHGs are formed from artisans and these groups will be turned up into producer cooperative group. This program used to aware artisans for regular saving, theft and credit & credit, inter loaning, income generation and group coordination. This scheme provides for helping to have access to the various welfare schemes provided by government, for artisans.

ART & CULTURE
Art and culture are the traditional part of our society. Hence it became a vision of our organization, to promote and make path for the development of our nation, based on its own traditional cultural background. It is the modern step of social work to spread messages through traditional arts and culture. We use such methods to have better communication with the society, as AIPSS is the result of efforts of efficient, strong, and modern youth.
PLAY AND DRAMA
AIPSS organized workshops for children under guidance of senior and experienced teachers, to create a play on real story. The organization has trained cultural units which focus on welfare for children from weaker sections of the society. The unit trains and helps to develop the personality of street/rural children. These programs proved that the theatre and cultural activities could be the best medium for undeveloped or undeveloped personalities to open their inner personality and through which have a better social adjustment and social functioning. Through entertainment and relaxation, the cultural unit passes messages to community. The dramas & nukkads of AIPSS participated in “DHAROHAR” program conducted at Patna. The organization had conducted training sessions for plays, dramas & nukkads under the guidance of senior guidance of NSD.

RESEARCH FOR MITHILA PAINTINGS
Researches and investigations help to remove the cover of hidden facts and needs. Scientific and investigational studies help to justify and encourage doing best for the society and sections of the society, with live proof and facts supporting to each event. Hence AIPSS promotes for researches. A research project has been started on ‘Mithila Paintings Madhubani in Bihar. This research project is going on. The main hypothesis of the project is that many of Mithila Paintings are based on ‘Vastu’.
COUNSELING TO YOUTH FOR AGED POPULATION
With the increase in the life expectancy at birth and in later years of life due to improved coverage of public health programs in controlling the killing diseases, more and more people are leading a retired life for a longer span. But in our country, the social scientists and others have neglected the problems of this age group. So this age group could be getting a prior attention from the public, especially our youth. The status of the aged in our joint families is changing. Better standards of nutrition, improved health care facilities and a familiar-friendly environment can upgrade their standard of living with self confidence among them. Hence our organization understood the need for educating and counseling our youth regarding the better care to our senior citizens. In this year, AIPSS had organized different programs to counsel and aware the youth regarding the importance of care our aged people.
RESEARCH ON HANDICRAFT DEVELOPMENT
A research project is going on, on the topic “Handicraft Development”, which aims to expand the possible areas of handicraft development. The project focuses on the related areas also to find related sources.
RESEARCH ON POST-PARTUM BLUES AMONG WOMEN
To study the various problems faced by women during their pregnancy, a research has been conducted. The area of which was the hospitals in the city of New Delhi. It could identify various problems faced by women during pregnancy.
COUNSELING TO AIDS/HIV POSITIVE PERSONS
Counseling sessions have been arranged to the persons suffering from HIV/AIDS to the high risk groups such as Injecting Drug Users, Youth, Truckers etc. Trained counselors of the organization counsel these persons in different regions regarding the precautions to be taken to have a better long life, how can become safe from HIV/AIDS, awareness on HIV AIIDS etc. The message through these counseling sessions is that the longevity of life is also assured for HIV positive persons. It could make use of the counseling sessions to make aware the HIV positive persons regarding the importance of preventing the transmission of disease from one person to another.
SOCIAL ADVOCACY
Social advocacy is very important in creating mass awareness and through which, can create voice and movement against various issues affecting the welfare of society. Social advocacy is an effective tool to seek attention from the part of government and from the public on a particular issue. The organization promotes for social advocacy through its mass communication programs and the interacting programs with the society.
Basic Information on the Key Projects Community Served :
The beneficiaries of all project will be mostly poor needy, below poverty line. Maximum beneficiary are in OBC, ST & Minority Section in the area. The main partners groups include women, childen, Youth and community stake holders. The AIPSS envisaged as instrument to bring Social, Economic, and Legal empowerment of Women particularly those belonging to the under privileged sections of society. Community Participation: Community Participation in a development programme is not only ensuring the involvement of the people in rendering financial assistance, giving one’s own labour, or resource mobilization. People can only be truly considered to have participated fully if they also have a role to play in the formation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a programme. Objectives : The board objective of AIPSS is to enable the under privileged sections of the society to attain in self-reliance in their social and economic development. Social justice and empowerment and capacity building have been promoted all among the underprivileged sections of society. Since the formation of AIPSS, it has headed, to plan and create those atmosphere and condition that enable people, in both rural and urban areas, to become self-reliant, participative citizens in the larger process of social reconstruction. Strategies : The AIPSS shall be platform for awareness generation on social issues relevant for women. The AIPSS will promote micro-enterprise development and establish effective marketing linkages. The AIPSS will help in organizing general Health check up at regular intervals for check up and issuance of referrals. The AIPSS will also promota sex education to Adolescent in order to ameliorate in STD, RTI and AIDS cases. Main Outcomes : The unemployment level will Be reduced, The Hindrance in securing a paid job for the women in the state, Effect of economic empowerment, Increase better situation of livelihood of Man and women. Awareness among IDUs and their family support, improved physical and psychological health of the aged, empowered women and youth, improved awareness regarding HIV/AIDS among the members of community, better hygiene and sanitation, enlighten of slum community, leadership development through SHGs, self reliance of women through micro enterprises Evaluation methods employed : Regular supervision and monitoring of the project by the project manager, field staffs, and peer educators. Evaluation has been conducted periodically at group level and interpersonal level. There will be periodical monitoring executed and on the basis of the experience and the pit falls encountered the review will be carried out. The review will be conducted monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual using different parameters to locate the problem and to pool in the resources to overcome them. Evaluation results It has been noticed that there was an increased community participation in various programmes conducted by the organization. The members of the community were satisfied with work of the project team. It was found that the women SHGs made an impact among the women in the community. The educational level of the children of the backward area has been improving and the aged could make use of the facilities provided by the organization. COORDINATED WORK WITH LIKE-MINDED ORGANIZATIONS The society has managed, since its recent inception to forge many links with other institutions such as state (Govt. of NCT) dept. and Govt. of India and other non-government organizations. WELFARE FOR SC/ST/OBC, MINORITIES, TRIBAL AND DISABLED Even if our Government is implementing different welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, Minorities, Tribal, Disabled and rural people, this situation is continuing to be pathetic. Our organization also focuses on schemes of there minorities and rural people for this social and economic development. AWARENESS PROGRAMS ON TRIBAL RIGHTS. The organization is pledged to bring the vulnerable sections of the society to the main stream of life. AIPSS is committed to the empowerment of weaker sections especially tribal women and tribal children in Jharkhand, Utranchal and Rajasthan. The total tribal population of India is about 67.8 million, which contribute 8% of the total population of the country. The tribal students who are in turn to come to the main stream of development, make hope in the overall modernization of tribes. Can add name of tribals in which the project interviened. As tribal people live in forests, they tend to get cut off from the main stream. In spite of the tribal habitat regions being generally rich in natural and mineral resources, the benefit of their exploitation seldom accrues to the tribal. The organization has conducted different welfare programs and awareness programs for tribal. Scheduled tribe girls and boys of different academic levels constituted the target group of the participatory workshops. Teachers were the facilitators in all the technical sessions as well as the plenary sessions in order to act as the local interface between the student participants and the various subject matter specialists in the field of law, health and education. DISTRIBUTION OF NOTE BOOKS AND UNIFORMS AMONG SC/ST/OBC/MINORITY CHILDREN Note books and uniforms were distributed to school children studying at Gazipur, Mandavali, Gazipur jughi D.D.A. flat and Naharu camp in the East Delhi. Elementary schools our intuition aimed in improving the standard of education among the poor and downtrodden children. RURAL SANITATION PROGRAM The sanitation condition of rural areas is still continued to be unchanged. AIPSS could help the villagers in improving the sanitation condition in Jharkhand, Bihar & Rajasthan. We have proposed to extend the sanitation program in more villages and help to improve sanitation condition and through which good environment for healthy life. WELFARE FOR THE AGED OLD AGE RECREATION CENTER The proportion of elderly population and the percentage that need care, increase with time. In India as elsewhere ageing has become a social problem because of the fundamental changes taking place in its social structure from a traditional and pre-industrial social order. The Indian society is changing into a modern and industrial one. The senior citizens’ social position in terms of family status and community context is in a state of flux, especially in changing traditional societies and regions where the influence of globalization and urbanization are accepted. Nowadays, every society tends to view its retired and ageing population within the structural and functional constructs, which operates for perpetuation and efficient conduct of that society. Welfare for the aged is one of the target areas of our organization. As part of various programs conducting for the welfare of our senior citizens, an Old Age Recreation Center is being run by our organization which aims to provide for all recreational facilities for the aged at a common place and provide for all kinds of support for their psycho-social make-up and development. The center provides additional support to the aged to have better physical and mental health by availing medical services periodically and provides options to older people who are socially isolated. The center creates a suitable climate for greater understanding and better social integration between the senior citizens from different family atmosphere. In short, the Old Age Recreation Center helps seniors become more independent, socially and economically adjustable with their family members and to have better integration between the older and younger generations. OLD AGE DAY CELEBRATION Every year, the organization celebrates Old Age Day with its volunteers and beneficiaries. We organize Old Age Day rally, cultural programs, public meeting etc. which aim to spread message to the public, on the importance of caring our aged people. WOMEN & CHILD WELFARE, GENDER EQUITY SELF HELP GROUP FORMATION FOR MINORITIES AND WOMEN The community should be made aware of the fact that both males and females should contribute for the development of the society. Male domination and dependency of women as traditional values must be discarded. Women should have equal facilities for education, employment etc. Women empowerment is an ongoing and dynamic process, which enhances women’s ability to change those structures and ideologies that keep them subordinate. This process enables them to gain more access to resources and decision-making, more control over their own lives and greater autonomy empowerment is a process that changes and improves woman’s self image and social image and enables women to challenge and change not just hierarchical gender relation, but all hierarchical and inequitable relation in society. The entrenched nature of constraints faced by women and limited success of Government intervention has highlighted the need for new approaches to meet women’s diverse needs. The most important social innovation to help the poor in recent years has been the success of the thrift and credit based Self Help Groups (SHG) especially those formed by women. There are a 75 SHG`s, assisted by AIPSS, who have successfully developed a system of revolving credit for the benefit of group members based on their own savings. SHGs are in the path of growth and have a major role in women empowerment LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAM FOR WOMEN OF RURAL AREAS A legal awareness program, namely “CHALO GAON KI ORE” was conducted for creating awareness on basic legal formalities and requirements for the women of rural areas of Jaipur in Rajasthan. The major objective of which, was to enable the rural women to become aware of the various central and state government schemes for their social and economic upliftment and to enable them to gain access to free legal aid. Through the program, it brought about awareness of women’s rights as enshrined in the Indian constitution as well as other relevant laws related to women in general and specially belonging to weaker. Output of the program was very effective and could give a clear picture of the basic rights of women and the special schemes for the welfare of women. FAMILY COUNSELLING CENTER The concept of family counseling is the product of western. There are different counseling methods such as vocational counseling, industrial counseling, psychiatric counseling, marriage counseling, career counseling, professional counseling, disaster counseling, family counseling etc. Out of these counseling centers, our family-counseling centre provides emotional, legal and professional help to those families distressed with marital, familial, other social problems. It has provided very helpful in providing succor to victims of domestic violence and, save them from further harassment and from emotional maladjustment with family members. Besides, it has also been very helpful in advising people frustrated with their employment, business, personal relations, offspring etc. Family counseling is an essential concept in the modern nuclear family system where, relationships become weak; psychological and emotional management get down. CURRICULAM DEVELOPMENT AIPSS has developed a new need based program in Rajasthan, Delhi & Jharkhand for encouraging education promotion in accordance with the requirements of children. Along with quality education equal attention is being paid to extra curricular activities to promote holistic development for children. SPORTS AND GAMES PROGRAM The organization had taken steps for promoting sports and games activities for children for keeping good health. Sports competitions were also organized for this purpose. Many children participated in this competition and won prizes. PUBLIC UTILITY CARE ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN An eye check-up camp was organized at Gazipur Container Depot as part of road safety project. Different campaigns have been organized in schools and parks of different areas of EAST & West Delhi to promote road safety, through which our volunteers made aware the society about the value & benefits of maintained and safe roads. Through the campaigns, the organization made aware the school children and general public regarding how to behave in roads to secure themselves and others. During this working year, we have passed the message for safe driving, loss of encroachment in roads, and safety of roads from water. AIPSS volunteers distributed IEC material among vehicle drivers at the time of red signal. Nowadays, death from road accidents increase; the reasons of which may be alcoholic drivers, health problems especially partial blindness or any other eye problems of drivers, lack of awareness on traffic rules etc. SAFETY OF PUBLIC PROPERTY CAMPAIGNS Different campaigns had been organized in different areas to promote Public Property [Educational Institutions, Community Halls, Transports etc.]Safety. These campaigns briefed the society about the role of the public in saving such property. Tools such as pamphlets where used to spread the message over the community. More than 800 families have been motivated by these campaigns. PETROLEUM PRODUCTS CONSERVATION CAMPAIGNS Schools and park centered campaigns had been organized in East and West areas of Delhi to promote Petroleum Products Conservation. It could make aware the people regarding the importance of conserving petroleum products. The campaigns briefed how petroleum is produced, how much time it will take and how much storage is there in world and in our country at present and pointed out that it is not artificial but natural product. It was meant to make aware the common people about the general facts about the subject and through which made aware the society about the value and benefits of maintained and safe use of petroleum products. More than 750 families had been made aware on the same and tools like pamphlets where used to have better communication. GENERAL WELFARE Rain Water Harvesting and Wastage Management Campaign Availability of pure water comes decreased day by day. Scientists have pointed out that the main problem which will have to be faced by the people in future will be lack of availability of drinking water. So it is the duty of the people of today, to conserve water and which can be a major wealth to our coming generations. Campaigns had been organized in communities to promote Rain Water Harvesting and Wastage Management. In this year we have spread the message to save water by safe use of water. Through the campaigns more than 2500 families in Jharkhand, more than 1785 families in Bihar and more than 2450 families in Rajasthan, had been motivated on the same. HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM Health education remains a fundamental part of our Medical Services. The health education program continued as usual at our outpatient unit, providing education on various topics such as the means by which communicable diseases are spread and lack of hygiene preventable illness can be avoided. PANCHAYAT RAJ AWARENESS PROGRAMS We have participated actively in giving training of Panchayat Raj members, women functionaries etc. on their role and responsibilities and for promoting literacy, gender equality, legal age of marriage etc. The organization could co-ordinate formation of women Self Help Groups, awareness creation among its members through training and promotion of small and healthy family norm, through them.
